Toshiba have always been renowned for producing top quality laptops so one would anticipate something special from their new portable netbook range and this new 10” netbook looks like it will live up to expectations.

Toshiba Mini Notebook NB200
As with other netbooks the Toshiba uses Windows XP, has 1GB of memory and a 160GB hard drive but it’s the quality of finish which sets the NB200 apart from many of the rest. The keyboard looks solid and well spaced and many reviews have commented how well the mouse-pad works compared with competitors. Anyone who’s struggled with flimsy and un-responsive mouse-pads while on the move should appreciate the benefits of this? Another thing that’s got reviewers excited is the 6 cell battery, with some claiming to have managed over 8 hours continuous use – which is quite remarkable, it has to be said.
Out later this year, it’s expected that the Toshiba will cost just a bit less than £300 and if this is correct then it looks like exceptional value.
