Laptop or notebook/netbook? Need help.?

I have a laptop but i am selling it at the end of the month, and im going to invest in something new i need some advice on what one to get, what are the differences? My computer needs aren’t high. I only need it for microsoft word for my college assignments and the internet for basic research. A netbook/notebook sounds ideal as i need it a bit smaller to take it to college. I have heard a few bad reviews on the netbooks, but wil they be okay just for my needs? Thanks for the help.

  1. A laptop and notebook are essentially the same thing. A netbook is a stripped down notebook. No CD/DVD drive and a very limited processor. Good for browsing, checking mail, and possibly watching video on line providing you have a good connection.
