HP Mini 100e Education Edition

Originally conceived as a rival to Intel’s Classmate (or Fizzbook in the UK) the HP Mini 100e is a 10.1 inch netbook style computer with a spill resistant 92% full size keyboard keyboard and built-in sturdy carry handle. Weighing in at just over 1.45Kg this laptop is lightweight enough to be carried in achild’s back-pack and the standard 3 cell battery will provide enough power to keep running for up to 4½ hours between recharges.

HP Mini 100e Education Edition Child's Laptop
Although this computer never really took off as intended in the educational market it does represent great value as a child’s first laptop. What makes the current offer especially appealing is not just the great price- now reduced to £179 –  but that Marks and Spencer are offering a full 2 year guarantee as standard.

This netbook is also currently available at amazon, albeit at a higher price and with just a standard guarantee.
