How good are Acer laptops?

I’m buying a new laptop and I’ve found the Acer Aspire V3-5710G. It’s good spec etc but I was just wondering how reliable to Acer laptops tend to be? I’ve heard that they’re not very well built (which I guess can be expected seeing as they are relatively cheap) and I’ve read mixed reviews about their tendency to crash etc. Seeing as I’m spending quite a lot on a laptop (£750 budget) I would like to know if an Acer is gonna last me a while or not?

  1. Let’s put it this way better than e-machines laptops , they are good laptops i made bad comments about them in the past but they have gotten better even compete with some of the other top name manufactures, to me personnally a lot of people push laptops pass their limits and go online and complain about them , yes they would last you a long time just maintain it and don’t put a lot of crapware on it and there is a lot of crapware on the market

  2. Acer laptops are simply incredible. I am sure you understand most of the advantages or you wouldn’t be considering buying one, so I’ll skip straight to the manufacturing quality. My particular model (Aspire 5336) ran completely smoothly, exceeding all expectations for about 8 months. However, the hard drive failed for reasons unknown to me. I sent it away to the company, they fixed it and sent it back within a week (for free if you keep your guarantee). Considering the price to quality ratio, it would be almost ludicrous if a few models didn’t break down. However, don’t let this possible minor set back throw you off one of the greatest purchases you may ever make.

  3. I have a Acer aspire 5555-1 I think it is better than a dell or any other laptops I have had this for 2 years and get along with it just fine.

My friend has the Acer Aspire V3-5710G and I have used it and it runs quicker than my laptop but I think it is very handy.

(Helpful tip get AVG Security works better than Norton)

Complete sh*t heaps they are. My friends have them and they are slow and they never respond in a satisfying time.

I suggest either a Toshiba or a HP laptop, probably the best out there.

No offense, but only an uneducated person will shop for a laptop by brand only.
Or judge a brand as a whole just by some idiot that had a bad experience with it..

The specs are the only thing you should look for when buying a laptop, and they are excellent for that model.
You have a fast, late model Ivy Bridge Intel Core i5-3210M processor, a good dedicated graphics card (nVidia GeForce 630M), 8GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive. The £549.99 price is not bad either (for the UK anyways)…
So all in all I say go for it:

Acer is in fact a solid brand, with good customer service and support.
Over the years I owned 2 Acer laptops (I still have them) and an Acer desktop and had no problems with any of them whatsoever.

Again, I say go for it.
