It seems like a long time since the original Aspire One came on to the scene and changed the portable computer market for good. Now that virtually every manufacturer going has their own version of a 10-inch netbook it is easy to forget what a game changer the first Aspire One really was.

In terms of specification and performance most netbooks are much of a muchness – they all tend to use the Atom processor, have the same disc space of 160GB and enjoy a full 1 MB of RAM memory. What really distinguishes one net book from the other these days is style and the D260 has this in bucket loads.

The new aspire one netbook from AcerThe Aspire One D260 is quite slim compared to some and, with the pink new case – officially described as ‘Pink Flake’ – and bold as brass Aspire One insignia, certainly stands out from the crowd.

  • RAM – 1GB Graphics card – Intel GMA 3150
