Acer Aspire V5 or Toshiba Satellite P845?

I am on the point of getting a new laptop – preferably a touchscreen one, and for not too much money. These two laptops seem almost identical, except for the Toshiba has an i3 processor, and the V5 has an i5 processor – otherwise the RAM, GHz, price, and most other specifications are (almost) the same. Is the different core much of an advantage?
By the way – I would almost certainly buy the laptop from here: (here are the links to the two laptops)

Acer for sure. Every single Toshiba I or someone I know has owned has issues with the screen and/or overheating. My Acer is still going strong after a few years.
